Bumble Designer Gears Up for Baby.

Friday, November 21st, 2008

Designer Jennie Lynn Johanson went on a baby shopping spree. Johanson is expecting a baby boy in January and she visited some of her favorite baby/maternity stores in Boston and Brookline, MA with Boston Herald crew- Jill Radsken, Style/Fashion Editor; Matt Stone, Photographer; and Angela Rowlings, Videographer. The profile was featured in a two page spread yesterday in the Boston Herald and on BostonHerald.com.

Here is some of the gear that she purchased and places she visited:

Isis Maternity- The Prudential Center, Boston

Momzee maternity dress- "I love the feel and fit of this soft cotton dress. It’s very comfortable against your skin and something that can be used even after baby."
Belly Bars- "I keep these in my purse for when I’m on the go. I have turned several of my friends onto these delicious bars too."
Momm-eez loungewear- "I will definitely bring these to the hospital. They have snap down tops that will make nursing so much easier."

Isis Maternity just opened a location in the Prudential Center in Boston. They also have 3 other locations in Arlington, Brookline and Needham. "Isis is the place to go for all your parenting needs before and after baby," says Johanson. They have lots of class choices including a Newborn essentials class, Infant CPR and Breastfeeding classes. There instructors are incredibly well-versed and they offer a multitude of classes.. you won’t be able to take just one.

Aden & Anais- "I was turned onto this company from a friend and I liked the look and feel of this hooded bath towel for baby."

Lester Harry’s Boston store is so elegantly merchandised with its soft color palette and elongated design space. This is not only one of Johanson’s favorite places to shop for baby, but also her husbands. They have 2 locations: Boston and Marblehead, MA. Mustela- "Not only did Sheri Gurock suggest this line of cleansing products, but style/fashion editor Jill Radsken raved about these products as well for her little one. "

Magic Beans is a great place to go shopping for your big purchase items such as strollers and car seats. They have car seat specialists on hand and stroller matchmakers to assist you in choosing just the right fit your needs. They have a huge selection of toys that you won’t be able to drag your little tike out of there. BabyLuxeDaily.com is the essential online resource to learn about baby must-haves. It is the best place to help to help new parents, parents-to-be, and gift-givers alike learn about great baby luxuries.

BabyLuxeDaily.com recently reviewed our Haley & Hannah Snack Bags. Here is a snippet of the review:

When heading out for a lunch date with kids in tow, pulling everything together so that you make it in time can sometimes take nothing short of a miracle. However, if you have a great Snack Bag from the Bumble Collection, its great incentive to be sure alls packed & ready to go.

The Hannah Large Snack Bag has all the great features you need – its water resistant, stain resistant, fully insulated to keep bottles and food warm or cold, they attach to any stroller with the velcro adjustable strap, fully removable inserts to accomodate different size containers, and a mesh pocket on the top for utensils or napkins.

I’m just loving this bag right now to tote meals for my twins! {I’ve even managed to sneak in a wrap for myself!}

The Haley Small Snack Bag is just the right size for a small meal for baby or snacks for the afternoon for your toddler. The Haley has all of the same features as the Hannah, but is just a bit smaller.

Woo Hoo! Family Screening Lanes at all US airports.

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

According to the TSA, airports across the country will have designated security lanes for families to move through preflight inspections at their own pace, just in time for the busy Thanksgiving travel season.

The Transportation Security Administration is expanding its family lanes to every security checkpoint in the country by November 20. The popular lanes, which have been tested at 48 airports, provide a space for families and passengers who don’t travel very often to move through security at their own pace.

"Expanding these lanes to every airport and directing families and passengers with medically necessary liquids to them, increases passenger convenience and security," TSA Administrator Kip Hawley said in a statement Monday.
