Feeling Lucky? Congrats to Bumble Contest Winner Emma Lang!

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

Thank you to everyone who entered our Feeling Lucky contest in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. We asked whether you believe in good luck charms.

Our winner, Emma writes this on the subject of lucky charms….

I am expecting for the first time this year- It was a long hard road but everyhting a psychic said is coming true- Before my husband and I went threw IVF- the psychic said I see you with a girl and something to do with the number 7- (our baby is due in july-7th month) and I had the procedure done exactly 7 weeks after I seen her- Plus I found out I was pregnant on 11-23 which adds up to 7- so I believe in luck~

Congratulations, Emma! We wish the best to you and your family. Enjoy this special time.

Thank you to all who entered our contest. We hope you enjoyed reading all about everyone’s lucky charms as much as we did. Stay tuned for our next contest.

Let’s Celebrate National Nutrition Month: Week 3

Tuesday, March 18th, 2008

In celebration of National Nutrition Month… Here is a surefire way to get the kids out of the toy cupboard and into the kitchen.

The pasta sections of specialist Italian food shops can often resemble the contents of a children’s toy cupboard. All those tubes and corkscrews, and ribbons, not to mention the letters, soccer balls and surfboards (see below) are the stuff of dreams for fertile minds.

Shapes are easier to eat than rods or ribbons, so they’re a good choice for kids.

Some pasta companies make pasta meant specifically for pasta fun like these fun pasta noodles from The Pasta Shoppe.

They allow the imagination to run wild in the kitchen.

Happy cooking!

Feeling Lucky? St. Patrick’s Day Contest!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Saint Patrick’s Day is a Irish holiday and today will be filled with visions of four leaf clovers, leprachauns and lots of green.

Here’s a little trivia….

Did you know? Many visitors to Ireland have been known to go in search of leprachauns as they believe it will lead then to both luck and great wealth (always with no luck as they dont actually exist). Leprauchans are seen as a symbol of good luck and fortune and are associated with many irish good luck proverbs and blessings and also the pot of gold found at the and of rainbows.

It’s a Bumble Contest!!
